What is ESCAZU NEWS?

1-What is the Escazu News
Whenever I am asked that question I always respond in this way: it is similar to diary of Betty La Fea (the famous Colombian soap opera), but it is the diary of Daniel El Feo.
2-Why do you write it?
I enjoy it It is fulfilling and I like to share information.
3-How did you start?
I began years ago with a folder that I would give to my clients. My colleagues began to copy my information and put their logo on it. What is interesting is that if they had asked me for the information, I would have gladly allowed them to use it, but without making any changes. I was upset about what they were doing. With the new technology, I decided to publish the information on Internet and the Escazu News was created.
4-Where do you get your information?
From my daily life
5-Is the information only from the Escazu area?
No. As I have said, a large majority is about Escazu, but also the western part of San Jose and other services from other areas. For example: a window place in Tibas, beach hotels Almost all of the services can be used by people that live in Escazu and Santa Ana as well as by people that live in San Pedro de Montes de Oca or in Coronado.
6-What do you receive from the Escazu News?
I enjoy the appreciation from the readers and from the people that I recommend, knowing that people trust me, although not economically.
7-Do the people you recommend know beforehand that they are going to be published in the Escazu News?
Some do, but they are a minority. Others find out when the Escazu News is published. When I recommend a service, I usually use it a few times first to be sure. What is important is that I am satisfied with the service. Other times, I am invited with the hope that I will write something in the Escazu News. If I am satisfied with the service, I will write an article. Many invitations I have received do not fulfill my expectations so before writing something negative, I prefer to write nothing at all.
8-What happens when a service you use is not good quality?
Nothing. I do not even mention it. If you don’t have anything good to say, it is better to say nothing at all.
9-What happens when a service that you have recommended loses quality?
If that happens with a service that I have used or I receive more than 3 complaints about that service and I can prove that the complaints are true, I write a new article warning my readers about it. Many times a person will provide excellent service for a while and when they become well known, their level of service begins to decrease. I will recommend as well as “un-recommend.”
10-How long does it take you to write the Escazu News?
My family will tell you that I am always writing because everyday there is something new to write about or to revise and change. I try to write late at night or early in the morning. One week before the end of the month, I format, check spelling and send everything to be translated. Once that is complete, I format again, then send it to another system to check it. From there I send it to the system where I have the mailing list. This takes about 3 hours. Before sending it out, I test it by sending it to a hotmail address as well as to yahoo, racsa, amnet, aol and lycos addresses. When everything checks out OK, I begin sending the Escazu News to my racsa subscribers in alphabetical order first to the As, then to the Bs, etc. Then I do the same with those readers from Yahoo, Amnet, Hotmail, etc. It takes about 4 or 5 hours to send everything out.
