
National Symphony Orchestra will perform together for the first time the stations of Vivaldi and Piazzolla
San José, March 28, 2017. The National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica (OSN), under the baton of guest conductor Andreas Neufeld, will play “The Four Seasons” by the Italian Antonio Vivaldi and “The Four Seasons Buenos Aires” Astor Piazzolla, in a same free concert, that will be realized in the Parish San Miguel Arcángel of Escazú.
According to Neufeld, “for many years now I have the idea of doing this in Costa Rica and I am very happy to be able to do this Friday with the OSN. I hope the public can enjoy this contrast of Vivaldi, popular music, with the tangos of Piazzolla. ”
The National Center for Music-COSTA RICA reported that these works, composed for string orchestras, have been widely interpreted worldwide, but this will be the first time that the OSN plays them in the same performance.
The concert will be held on Friday, March 31, at 7 p.m., in the Parish of San Miguel Arcángel de Escazú; Public admission starts at 6 p.m.; The presentation will last approximately 80 minutes.
Essays. For this concert, the rehearsals begin on Tuesday March 28, in the morning, at the National Music Center, in Los Colegios, Moravia.
Subsequent to this presentation, the OSN will work for a week with the emeritus director Irwin Hoffman, with a view to the II Official Season Concert 2017, to be presented on April 7 and 9 at the National Theater of Costa Rica.
